WPF control in IE (<object> style)

Is an ActiveX wrapper for displaying as a control in an HTML web page
planned to be supported in the v1.0 release?

If not, I presume we can at least use <IFRAME> to point to an xbap, right?

I am not with Microsoft, but we did quite extended research on the
subject, so this is to the best of my knowledge:

    - There won't be plug-in style integration in web pages for WPF, at
least not in V1. Similarly, there won't be interaction between the WPF
"component" (actually, application) and the containing webpage. For
example, it won't be possible to use the browser's JavaScript engine
    from the WPF application.

    - The IFRAME solution is, so far, the proposed solution to integrating a
XBAP in a HTML webpage. Of course frames are also possible, but once
again there won't be any integration possible with the rest of the HTML
    page.

    - The features you're (possibly) looking for will be released in a
product codenamed WPF/E (E=everywhere), which will include a plug-in for
all major browsers (IE (ActiveX), Mozilla (incl Netscape, Firefox...),
Opera) on Windows, also Safari on Macintosh, and an external group is
    working on Linux solutions.

WPF/E will support JavaScript interaction, DOM interaction, etc...
However, WPF/E is not even in CTP yet, and no release date was announced
    yet.

    HTH,
    Laurent

Yep, that's what I wanted. Thanks, now I know why I should give a darn about
    WPF/E.
