December release

I have just re-installed my computer with the Vista-Beta December release and
WinFX. But now my Visual Studio.Net 2005 final release version can't install
on it. The error says:

Setup.exe failed...

Do I actually need the earlier Visual Studio.Net Beta to work on this latest
Vista-Beta?

I read somewhere that you could copy the DVD contents to your hard drive and
install from there and then it worked (getting around the gencomp.dll
problem).
