Deriving from Shape

Hello,

Anyone have any tips / tricks on properly deriving a class off of
System.Windows.Shapes.Shape? I'm about to go look into what it would take to
go do that.

Regards,

CS

Turns out, this is quite easy!

Re: Deriving from Shape

I wonder if you can then instantiate it in EID ?

I would want to do that... For example, to give objects properties such as
Velocity or Acceleration, and to then animate those new properties via the
EID designer... and implement special operations on the object that could
then be invoked directly from code.

Something like, right-click on object, choose properties, specify new class
type in a drop-down box that shows all application classes inheriting from
compatible types for that object. The properties list would probably pick up
new members in the derived type, and the animation editor is probably
compatible if the properties are instrumented properly.
