Work in progress

As a regular reader and occasional contributor of the forum I would like to
show off my work (in progress)

You can read about my little pet project here:
http://blogs.infosupport.com/ernow/articles/3603.aspx

(screenshot linked at the bottom)

I haven't used Interactive Designer yet for this project ( it won't load my
windows...)
but did use Graphic Designer for the Icons and brushes.

In a few days I will publish the design (not graphical but technical) also
but I can tell you right now that it's databinding all the way! (well, the
only thing I can't get to work is binding to a property of the
UserControl...)

Oh, right, if you are interested in some WPF tutorials, go here:
http://blogs.infosupport.com/ernow/articles/1878.aspx

Cheers,

Erno

Re: Work in progress

Hi Erno,

The Interactive Designer team wants to really see this project as well -
please do let us know when you share it so we can link to it from our blog.
Also, we would be more than willing to help you be able to open it in
Interactive Designer, so you can zoom thru future work.

Thanks,
Unni

Re: Work in progress

Hi Unni!

I have thought about recreating the entire UI in EID:
1. As a practice in getting to knowEID and
2. To get zooming...

The problem is that I'm running in a Virtual PC and thus the 'zooming' won't
be that 'zooming' at all.
I'll try another 'import' today and let you know the 'what happend'. I'm not
to sure when I will be sharing my work with the rest of the world (late
March earliest) because I want to use the application for my talks at the
Dutch Microsoft DevDays. But if you're keen, let me know, I could mail you
my sources. (I would be nice to switch roles and have someone from Microsoft
sign an NDA for a change :-))) )

Cheers,

Erno

RE: Work in progress

Congratulations.
There are not many guys working with WPF 3D.
I remember that, participating in the beta of ADOBE Atmosphere there was not
many programmers in the group, because "ADOBErs" are more artists than
programers. This was one of the reasons of the total disaster of Atmosphere,
phase outed now.
Now we have the inverse, "MICROSOFTers" are more programers than artists...
What will be the future of WPF 3D? Who knows?
I hope that "Animation Studio" will be a great tool.
About WPF 3D, my site has many tutorials and demos that can help you and
everybody:
