| | Feb CTP - Still no DatePicker? I see from Tim Sneath's blog today that WPF is now feature complete but still no DatePicker according to the SDK. Is that it? No DatePicker? It makes building any business forms app rather difficult. Why was it pulled from earlier CTPs? Thanks Michael |

| | RE: Feb CTP - Still no DatePicker? I'd recommend a business buy a DatePicker from a control firm. WPF doesn't\shouldn't provide every bell and whistle, but the means to create those bells and whistles. Let's keep the team focused on a stable\reliable\performant foundation. Send e-mail to the component venders and tell them to write a datepicker, and what ever control you can think of that you want. I'm sure there will be free one's too...the pipeline will get filled if there is demand. | | Re: Feb CTP - Still no DatePicker? It makes sense to me that DatePicker was cut based on priorites and resources. Perhaps Sparkle will have a DatePicker. I'm sure if folks want a DatePicker, they will find one or write one. My suggestion is to contact the Sparkle team, and tell them you want a DatePicker. WPF team says they are feature complete...that train has left the station at this point. We have to find other ways to get what we want. When a door gets shut in your face, walk down the hall and knock on another one - salesman's mantra ![]() "MichaelG" wrote: > Well I coundn't disagree more. > > A DatePicker control is as basic a requirement as a textbox or list control. > Sure, component vendors will offer grids and schedules and goodness knows > what else but you can't write any sort of business app without a datepicker > and it should be in the box. Kinda like file open/save dialogs... Just my 2¢, Drew |
