XAML extensions

Hi,

I'm working on writing a XAML MarkupExtension derivative. All is going fine. It's quite easy to make a simple thing, but problems arise when trying to retrieve an object from a databinding using a stacked {Binding} markup syntax.

This works:

<Button Text="{src:MyMarkupExtension Value={x:Null}}"/>

This doesn't:

<Button Text="{src:MyMarkupExtension Value={StaticResource TheData}}"/>
or
<Button Text="{src:MyMarkupExtension Value={Binding Source={StaticResource TheData} Path=Value}}}"/>

With the non-working usages, i get the following error:
error MC3045: Unknown property 'Source' for type 'MS.Internal.Markup.MarkupExtensionParser+UnknownMarkupExtension' encountered while parsing a Markup Extension. Line 14 Position 85.

Does anybody have an idea on how to solve this?

Regards,
