Feb CTP runtime installation error

Hello

I have been trying to install Feb CTP runtime.
I have succesfully downloaded and extracted the .img file... even
mounted on virtual cd ...
but while installing it gives error :

Installation of the "Debugging Tools for Windows" product has reported
the following error: This installation package could not be opened.
Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows
Installer package.

Any suggestion or help .. how could I remove this error.

Re: Feb CTP runtime installation error

This sounds like you're having trouble installing the SDK and not the
runtime...?

Make sure to clear your browser cache before trying to install and make sure
to that you have cleanly uninstall any older SDKs.

Re: Feb CTP runtime installation error

I had the same error on a clean system. I 'fixed' it by deselecting the
debugging tools...

Re: Feb CTP runtime installation error

Hello

I tried deselecting the debugging tools but its still coming on the
main component of the installation i.e. WinSDK....

What I have observed that there is no digital signature on those .msi
files... which is the source of the problem. There should be some
setting to allow the installation of the .msi file
which doesnt have any digital signature.

I tried playing with settings of Internet options .. but still no luck.
