| | XBAP trust/security Hi Is it possible to create an XBAP application with full trust deployed on a CD? I want my app to be able to use file System.IO on files deployed on the CD along with the app. All required files will be on the CD. Peter |

| | RE: XBAP trust/security Howdy, This is not really something you can control from a CD as the trust scenario is governed by the user profile settings on the client machine. I am sure you have your reasons for looking at this over a standard application, its just something I wouldnt have though an XBAP is suitable for. | | Re: XBAP trust/security I agree. Given your scenario, I don't know why I would choose an XBap over an installed application, like Expression Blend. | | Re: XBAP trust/security Thanks for your comment. The reason I'm looking at XBAP is that the UI for the app must be easy to customize. I thought that using XBAP would give the user the option to customize the UI by simply editing the xaml file. | | Re: XBAP trust/security You need to advise your user to reduce the security level of IE. And I doubt your user is willing to do it. On the other hand, I am wondering if you can setup a simple database server on your site, and have your app talk to it. Frank http://volumetrism.blogspot.com/ |
