ModelVisual3D & Model3DGroup

Hi there, I copies some examples from the November Windows SDK to test
further on "Avalon". I can't solve the following XAML's problem.

<Viewport3D Name="myViewport" ClipToBounds="true" >
...
<ModelVisual3D>
-> <ModelVisual3D.Children>
-> <Model3DGroup>
<Model3DGroup.Children>
<DirectionalLight Color="#FFFFFFFF" Direction="-3,-4,-5"
/>
<GeometryModel3D Geometry="{StaticResource myPlane}" >
...
...

The first warning (at the first arrow) says <ModelVisual3D.Children>:
"The element cannot contain white space. Content model is empty."
I guess it is because it doesn't recognize <Model3DGroup>.

The second warning (at the second arrow) says:
"The element
'http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/avalon/2005:ModelVisual3D.Children'
cannot contain child element
'http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/avalon/2005:Model3DGroup' because the
parent element's content model is empty."

Anyone knows what tags are missing, please?

Re: ModelVisual3D & Model3DGroup

Is there any chance you have xml:space="preseve" somewhere in your file?

Also, Children contains other ModelVisual3Ds, while ModelVisual3D.Content
contains Models.

If you need some working 3D samples go to

Re: ModelVisual3D & Model3DGroup

No, no xml:space defined anywhere.

If that is the case, it seems that it should be written as

<ModelVisual3D.Content>
<Model3DGroup>
...

instead of <ModelVisual3D.Children>?

Re: ModelVisual3D & Model3DGroup

Right - that should work. It may be that the white space error is a side
effect of the type mismatch between Children and Model3DGroup.
