| | Designer?? In every Microsoft presentation I can find, WPF is always discussed in the context of hand-coding xaml. I did just see a reference to the Expressions designers. Is the concept going to be that you have to buy Visual Studio and then buy this separate designer to avoid hand-typing xaml. I can't help but feel a major tug on my wallet may be pending with the next VS version. |

| | Re: Designer?? You should look for references to "Cider" for Visual Studio Code Name "Orcas" - this is the designer for "developers". - Doug > In every Microsoft presentation I can find, WPF is always discussed in > the context of hand-coding xaml. | | Re: Designer?? I don't know if IED is bound to be a payable software upon official release... However, Microsoft is at the same time working with a Designer embeded in Visual Studio 2005 (code name Cider) which will simplify the creation of styles, templates and layouts. Don't worry too much, just by purchasing VS 2005, you'll have access to a designer! |
