Vista - How to add Effect or Filter for MediaElement

Dear all

I found MediaElement also has a "BitmapEffect" Property.
Is this property proper for video filter use?
Or is there other way to implement some video filters or image effect?


I try to add a BlueBitmapEffect to a MediaElement, but the video is
stopped and can't play.
Is that a bug or I am missing something?
The WinFX version I use is Jan CTP

Yes. This is a known bug. This is fixed for RC1 release of avalon. (about
2-3 months out from today)

Note: Depending on the size of the media element, you will see frames
freezing occassionally. This is because BitmapEffects is all done in software
only.

Correcting my previous post.

This is fixed for RC1 release of avalon. (the release after beta 2).
