| | More documentation sources Hello. ![]() I'm having a hard time with some specific issues in WPF. I've read the Programming WPF book from Chris Sells and I read his blog all the time. I watch every post in this group every day. I don't know how many times I've read the available MSDN documentation. Anyway, I'm looking for more good documentation and samples sources. Can any one point out a few? By the way, I'm building custom controls in WPF and it is being very hard. Does any one know of sources of samples and documentation guidelines on this? Thanks. |

| | Re: More documentation sources I found that the second most usefull source of information and examples in WPF was the decompiled source code of the PresentationFramework assembly from Microsoft. You can easilly browse through the WPF source code using the excellent decompiler tool Reflector from Lutz Roeder, availlable at the following link. http://www.aisto.com/roeder/dotnet/ It might sound weird at first, but it helps me a lot understand the behavior of the framework. As for examples, if you`re not scared browsing through code, the decompiled assembly provides all you might want to do (although you`re gonna see a lot of "internal" class/methods/properties/fields) |

| | Re: More documentation sources Hello Marcus, ![]() This is a great tip and I've doing exactly that (thanks to Lutz). But I still lack some explanations of what is beeing done and why at certain points. So, any resources' locations would be apreciated. Thanks. > I found that the second most usefull source of information and > examples in WPF was the decompiled source code of the > PresentationFramework assembly from Microsoft. > > You can easilly browse through the WPF source code using the excellent > decompiler tool Reflector from Lutz Roeder, availlable at the > following link. > > http://www.aisto.com/roeder/dotnet/ > > It might sound weird at first, but it helps me a lot understand the > behavior of the framework.
