Yes, I agree. That download rate is particularly awful..sorry but it is! Is it really Broadband?, or Elasticband? LOL. Sorry again, just too tempting....

I have two connections:

Laptop:

Desktop:

I`m guessing the difference in speed is because of different network cards (?) - The results are not faked, I have to remove the ISP name due to data protection.
And yes, I can download a DVD Linux distro in about 3 minutes

excuse me? Just take a look a little further down these posts, and compare your speed with mine. It'll be a cold day in hell indeed before Telkom gives us those speeds down here in South Africa.
