Windows Mail: sending issues

I have several issues which I think are all connected. Please bare with me.

1. I have Trend Micro Antivirus which loads for a long time when I login until
windows finally shuts it down and sends me a message saying it will use
previous settings. I contacted Trend Micro and they asked me to send
my debug logs in zip format. When I try to do this I get the following
error message:
Could not change to C:\program files\Trend Micro\Internet Security\
log\Archives-closing C:\program files\Trend Micro\Internet Security\
log\Archive\200811100937352443698.zip

Then I get an error message from Winzip:

winzip could not change the specified folder, so it is closing the
open archive. Possible causes for this error include removing the
folder or changing disks in the middle of winzip operation.

2. I also have never been able to send a group message. It always goes
to the Outbox and then I get an error message.
I contacted my ISP and they told me all my settings were correct and
that the problems were with Windows Mail itself or the Antivirus or the
Vista Windows Firewall or a combination of all 3.

I'm sure others must be having these problems, I am totaly frustraded.

Please advise. All my specs can be found in my profile.

Thanks to anyone who can help

For troubleshooting purposes I would highly recommend nuking (uninstalling) your current AV software. Reboot and see if some of the odd issues you are getting correct themselves.

If they do, or while your testing it you can always use AVG 8 which has a free version online. I only use it and have had no issues with its performance or protection!

AVG Free - Download AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition for Windows XP and Vistahttp://free.avg.com

Thanks Cyberwolf but I've had some problems in the past with AVG security and I am happy with Trend Micro. I would like to see if I can find some way of fixing these issues w/o having to get rid of TM. I will try what you advised and turn the AV off
and see if this is the problem.
