I told you - search online for *data recovery* sites - you'll find lots of places that have advertisements of what they can and cannot do.



However, since you encrypted the drive, and were using Vista, I am pretty sure that the encryption technology, when you enable it, *asks* you if you want to make a backup of the key - that is the digital locker thing I was referring to. If you did that then all you have to do is go to that site, enter your previous login and password and your key is waiting there for you.

If you didn't do that, I am not suite sure how you got that drive encrypted - my understanding is that it is a *requirement* when you use the encryption feature of Vista....

I believe so - actually, though, start by trying to encrypt a new drive, and go through the prompts there - it should then ask you to log into your Digital Locker account, where it should *then* tell you that you already have a key there and ask if you want to use it or not....
