Need help.

When I download a program or an update for some programs I have. It says the files have downloaded. But nothing is listed in the box.

I have Windows Vista Home premium Service Pack 2. 64 bit.

Where do I look for the files or what to change so I see the downloaded files?

If need more info let me know. Can get around the computer OK, but no expert.

Thanks jaybird511jh

I'm using Firefox 3.5

Now that you have brought that up maybe the trouble has been since the new 3.5 Firefox.

But still do not know what to do.

That may be so, however FF 3.x versions have a configuration tab in options to show or not show what you have downloaded. I suggest you go in and see what is selected. If you saw the downloads before, 3.5 may have made it default back to something else.

Regardless, you can find your downloads under C:\<username>\Downloads

In firefox go to the tools menu and click options. In the middle of the window it will tell you where you're saving your downloads. You'll either have "Save files to:" checked or "Always Ask" checked. If the save to option is selected, the folder listed to the right of it is your default download folder. If the ask option is selected, you can try going to the tools menu, click downloads, and right click the download you want to open and there should be either a show folder, or show download in explorer option. Otherwise, search for the file's name in explorer
