Windows Explorer Not Using FTP

    Windows Explorer Not Using FTP

    I am trying to access a site via FTP, however everytime I type the ftp address in explorer it opens up with Firefox and shows me a read only ftp directory.

    I tried to look under DEFAULT PROGRAMS and change the protocol, but I am only given firefox or IE to change it to and neither works.

    Please let me know if you think you have a solution.

    If you type a web address into Windows Explorer it will open your default browser.

    I assume you are trying to access the site to upload your own content, for that you will need an FTP program.

    Try FileZilla.
