Internet explorer is not responding

I am having connection problems using Windows Vista. I will use a search engine or go directly to a site and an error message will come up and say "Internet Explorer has stopped working". This happens very frequently. I just installed Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Never happened with XP. Can someone shed some light on this problem. Thanks.

can you go into event manager (type event manager in search) go to the windows log> application tab. Look for errors (they have red "X" in the left hand column) that mention IE. using the built in snipping tool make a screenshot of 1 of them and upload it to us using the attachment icon (shaped like a paperclip) in the reply form.

Lynyrd,
Does this happen regardless of which site you go to?
What if you reboot into safe mode. Does the browser still crash?
Did you install anything prior to this happening? Anything change?
