Hi.
I need to read an email from sometime ago.
In XP I know where the .dbx files are.
I can't find them in Vista 64.
Are the still here or are the something else.
I have unchecked hide protected bits and bobs.

Hello Brian,

The messages in Windows Mail are stored as .eml files at the hidden system folder location below. In Local Folders, you will see your inboxes with the email messages in them. Unless you have deleted the message, or moved it somewhere else, it should still be available to read in Windows Mail though.

C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders

You might also check in the Backup, or a Recovered Messages (if available), folder at the location below to see if any messages may be in the folders there as well.

The only folder with a large file size is MSMessageStore.
Can't find anyway of looking at it.
Looks like what I want has been deleted, oh well.
