Internet Cutting out with new system

So I have a new system with vista home premium x64 on it. My internet randomly shuts down and does not reconnect. It is a desktop computer with an external wireless adapter. Signal Strength shows as 4 out of 5 bars. When the internet cuts out I have to manually reconnect it, and it always makes me retype the password (even when I always check the save box). Also 90% of the time it says the connection timed out, and the only way i seem to get the internet back is to restart the computer.

I looked at different threads and really nothing helped that I could find.

http://www.vistax64.com/browsers-mail/250529-internet-keeps-cutting-out.html was a thread i saw on here that I was trying to look at but it didnt exactly fit my problem and the steps didnt fix it.

I am using a Belkin Wireless G adapter. Model: F5D9050 - if that helps at all.

Thanks for the help.

If the above step fails you might have to try a clean boot to find out which third party program is causing the Internet explorer to crash. Follow the steps below for clean boot procedures.

1. Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. (If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.)
2. On the General tab, click Selective Startup.
3. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
4. Click the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All.
5. Click OK.
6. When you are prompted, click Restart.
7. Log back into your Account.
8. Test Internet explorer

If the problem does not return while your computer is in clean boot mode, a background program is likely causing interference. You might have to update the program or uninstall the program for this program to work. You can try to determine which background program is causing the problem while the computer is in clean boot mode.
---------------------------------------------------
To find the process or program at cause follow the steps starting at enable half of the Services items, from the following article:
How to perform a clean boot procedure to determine whether background programs are interfering with a game or a program that you currently use

To restore your computer to Normal startup::
1. Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. (If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.)
2. On the General tab, click Normal Startup.
3. When you are prompted, click Restart.
You can also try optimizing internet explorer. Follow the steps in the article below
