Internet Explorer Security

Virtually every time I navigate within or between websites I get the IE Security pop-up telling me that "A website wants to open web content using"... Adobe Flash Player.

Any idea why and how I can stop it?

Try going to tools>internet options>security. Set the internet zone to medium or lower (this will be minimum security). This will work unless you are habitually going to sites not considered safe, in that event the warning is justified and necessary.

Hello Rich,

IE/security is still set at medium.

Anything else to suggest?

Martin

I'm running IE8.

This problem pretty much coincided with me updating to the latest version of Flash 2 days ago. I'm wondering if the first update worked correctly because yesterday I downloaded it again and it gave me a successfully installed message. After that I had just one of the IE Security popups which I allowed and since then - no more.

As with so many software issues, the problem appeared and then disappeared. I have no idea why.

Thanks for your response Rich.
