When I have 1 instance of IE8 running, I have two processes of it running in the Task Manager (iexplore.exe *32) 1 of them is running 50,740K of RAM, the other only 10,588K.

Normal? Am I being leet haxxxed? Or is IE7Pro doing something weird?

Your computer is working properly
One process is for the program and one is for the tab loaded. This has to with the tab recovery feature they added which prevents the whole app from crashing based on one page allowing you to continue to use the other tabs.

At times you may even see more. Some are just cached prior instances. Nothing wrong with that.

That is normal. You should have as many IE processes running as you have tabs open, plus one more for IE itself. As Richard has said, this is to do with the recovery feature of IE, which prevents a crashing tab from bringing down the whole browser.
