i have noticed that when i down load a program, that alot of the programs say for interexplr, or firefox, ect.ect. i use google for my default browser, my question is, can that effect me, cause my browser is not listed as a choose? should i use a diff browser? is 1 better than the other, how does a person dside what 1 he or she likes?

No not a problem unless the program cannot use Google. You can choose the brower that you want to use by clicking on its Shortcut and bringing it up.
I think that since you are new, you should stick with IE for now. Then later you can switch.
Go to search, type default programs, then go to set your default programs and pick IE. If it is not IE 8, update to 8.

That seems like a fair question
IE is the built browser. It is made with Windows in mind and works great, not many problems. We have tutorials on IE that can help you if necessary.
I use IE and if you have problems or questions I can help a lot better if it is an IE question. A lot of members use IE, they can offer help.
Its fast and efficient with Windows.
I think its better to have one, to learn the ropes, but then you can change if you do not like it.
If we are going to start with one, might as well be IE,
IE9 is coming out soon, we can learn together.

Is it IE8?
If you are using IE8 and are not happy with the performance, pick another Browser, but stay with the one. Learn how to use it get comfortable, then you can start to make changes.

Dont go for 9. Its in Beta, which means they are using you to test. There WILL be problems and you are not ready for that. Go with 8.
Personally, I dont go with Beta. I just want to enjoy. Let someone else do the testing.
