    IE 9 Beta

Microsoft is practically shoving it down my throat. Thing is, I am absolutely happy with IE 8. I tried it a month ago and immediately returned back to IE 8. (Now I don't remember why)

Anyone has personal experience with IE 9?

    Re: IE 9 Beta

I didn't have any problems while I was using it, but it's been a while since I had it. I just wanted to see what it was like, and if it was different. I liked it a lot compared to IE7/8. I use Opera and don't use IE unless it's absolutely necessary, but I really liked IE9 and can only hope that the final product is similar to the beta.

One question though.....how exactly are they "shoving it down your throat"? I don't ever see anything about it unless I read it on here or on the 7 forums.

@MWRed.....Each time I log out of mail accounts (I have several with live hotmail), I do not get back my www.msn.com homepage. Instead I get another msn homepage just for downloading IE 9. I see this IE 9 reminder to download it many times a day.

Give this a try, when you get the page, go to IE Tools>internet options>security and and the page to restricted sites.

Hmmmm..... strange, it stopped. All day yesterday and so far today, I have not been re-directed to that reminder page to download IE 9 Beta,. And just as when I am finally considering downloading it again.

Too many complaints from spammed customers?

    Ahh...I see.
I don't use the web based live hotmail, so I didn't know, but what you're saying would kind of get on my nerves too, especially if I was expecting to end up on a different page.

The official release of 9 will be in a few weeks. You may want to try it then. I heard that it will have some rather awesome features.
