Solved Internet explorer has stopped working....

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

This is what I keep getting popping up...but Internet Explorer carries on working so I dont understand why it keeps popping up all the time...I dont seem to have any virus or malware as I done checks so dont understand what its doing it for.

I have tried to reset Internet Explorer which seemed to work for a very limited time but starts up again for no reason I can see..

Anyone throw any light on this situation?

Dont click on any of those boxes that pop up. I will get one of our Malware experts to give further advice. Again, dont click on anything.

It sounds like you picked up a rogue type of anti-virus. If you can see it in Task Manager, stop the process.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Rename it to angie.exe before saving it to your desktop
|MG| Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.50.1 Download

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. Copy and Paste that log into your next reply.

Hi Jacee,
I do already have the Malwarebytes Ant-Malware on my computer which I am running at this moment in time to see if it picks up on anything.....Because I already have it on my computer will it "if any" pick up on any recent malware attacks? Or do I need to uninstall it and reinstall it again as you have said " renaming it"

You can use the one that you have
Just make sure that you update it first.
If you did not, stop the scan update and then scan again.

thanks rich, I have updated it...it asked me when I clicked on the desktop icon...so it has about half hour left to run then I will let it be known if it has come up with anything....hopefully if it shows up as nothing found then I hope that everything is fine with my computer then :D I have my mouse scroll back after doing system restore....The registry cleaner did install itself on my programs and features but I have uninstalled it now. By the way...Its logo was red square with a lightening strike logo in the middle of it......dont know if anyone knows if that one is malware or a trustworthy one

Try & be patient, I know it is difficult sometimes but once the report is in then a thorough can be carried out.
Also a more accurate recommendation can ensue.

Fortunately, we do not have to guess. The MBAM report will give us a definitive answer. Jacee will then know what to do. In most cases, MBAM can just remove what it finds.
