Problems with internet pages loading

I'm not sure what the exact problem is or what my options are.
I have a site I own & maintain & only 'half' of it is unviewable/ useable to me. There are some pix that won't load & when I right-click on them to open in a new window, I get this message: (in the tab it's called a 'HTTP Error 416 Requested Range not satisfiable' error):
PRECONDITION FAILED

The requested URL could not be retrieved

The range request associated with the attempt to retrieve the URL could not be satisifed.

This started happening after I had approved someone as a member to my site.
Since then, I haven't been able to fully access my site, nor am I able to use other sites such as Photobucket & a few others. I'm unable to upload images & have 'crashes' in my browser when attempting to do so.

At first I had assumed maybe it was a virus or some kind of malware. After running both scans, my system has come up clean & not having any threats.
I've tried researching the 'problem' or the error & 'code' & I have also ran a registry scan & fixed problems that were present. I am still having the problem.

Would I be better off reformatting or setting my laptop back to factor settings?

My operating system is Vista Home Premium. My computer is an Acer Aspire 5720Z. My processor is Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370 @ 1.73GHz, 1733 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s). The browser I typically use is Google Chrome & it's the latest version- 11.0.696.68

Any feedback or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Welcome
I have been a member of this site for several years and I learned something that may be of interest here. Extraneous events can sometimes cause more problems in solving an issue than helping. In your situation I think that it has to do with approving membership, unless that was the first membership that you approved. That being said, lets ignore the membership issue for the time being and try to solve the problem.
Give this a try and tell me if you can see the site in clean boot.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
If the above does not work. Download another Browser, Chrome would be a good choice and see if that works any better.

I am going to attempt the clean boot now. I am already running Chrome, which is where I'm having the problem.=/

As for approving members on my site.. that is a normal activity I do & I've done it several times before without a problem. I was just curious if there may have been something that person could have 'attached' to their membership that could cause a problem, so I could report it, if needed...

But in the meantime, I'll attempt the clean boot & report any progress or problems...

Thank you.

If you are using Chrome, try Explorer. If for no other reason just to try to find the cause of all this.

I've attempted the clean boot & still had the problems the first attempt.
I am able to access my site without any problems or glitches in Explorer, likewise, photobucket is also working in Explorer without any problems.
I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling Google Chrome, but the problem still remains in that browser... is it possible that the newest version of Chrome has glitches/ errors?

Apparently, Chrome and the sites dont mix. Use IE for those sites. You can either use IE as your defaualt or put the IE icon on your desktop and click when you want the sites.

Thank you.
I never had a problem with Chrome before. I've had my site for over a year & have used photobucket for many years in Chrome without problems until recently.
