Links in IE will not work

I am running windows 7 and now when ever I click a link on a webpage I get a error message that IE has stopped working and will close. I have run a scan with both security essentials and malwarebytes and neither has turned up anything. I was running IE8 when it started and today I downloaded IE9 and it is still happening. Any help please?

I would try to reset, back to default settings and see what happens
