Where's the email?

Hello

I have built a small web page for a client and on the page is a short form. A php script sends the form results to three email addresses - two of the client's and mine.

I'm on a mac (be nice!) and the client uses Outlook with Vista.

If I send an email to the client's address it drops into the mail box - perfect - no problem.

But when the form is completed - something strange happens. The blue integer in parentheses next to the inbox goes up - so a new mail has been received ( safe to assume that this is the form result) but no email appears in the inbox.

Somehow it seems as if the system knows that it has been sent by a script - and I'm assuming that this is somehow either quarantined somehow, or sent somewhere else....

I don't really know Vista (actually not at all) so I'm at a bit of loss and would appreciate any insight you guys can give me....

Here's a couple of further things - the email address is correct - I've checked a few times. Also - if I go into the webmail server I can see the email there - so it's definitely some setting or config thing on the client's computer.

Thanks in advance for the help!

What email service is he using? Gmail? Yahoo? etc. Most likely it has nothing to do with his computer, but just needs to set a rule in his mail service to allow it. Did you check your client's spam/bulk mail folder? It probably got sent there if it didn't show up in his inbox.

Hi Slammer,

there are two accounts - one is a gmail account one is a regular POP account - info@

the form is set to send to both - neither are receiving it which makes me think it is something on the machine rather than both servers.

the third address is my own - and I receive the mails without a problem.

They are not in the junk folder - that was the first place I looked...

The strange thing is the increment in the unread mail integer - the one in blue parentheses next to the Inbox name - this increases - which suggests they are in the inbox - except they are not.......

frustrating....

That is odd. What email program is your client using on his comptuer? Have you tried accessing the email directly from mail.google.com?
