Solved IE 9 Picture expanding

Hi all,

I have updated IE9 to the latest version & have this annoying issue: -

If I click on a threads attached picture the picture opens at the top of the screen instead of centraly in the window & can not be closed.

I have reset the IE settings & I have rolled back to IE8, that sorted it out.

I then reinstalled IE9 & it worked for about 3 or 4 goes & then reverted to the described issue.

Does anyone know what can be done?

I have ambivalent feelings about your problem. On one hand, Im sorry that you are having a problem on the other hand, I am glad that I may be able to help. Although, I have not experienced your particular problem, this tutorial may help. Although it mentions crashing, it has helped with various problems and situations

Thank you for the excellent information.

I have followed the posted instructions & reset IE, Network settings etc.. As previously stated "Once reset" it works & is doing (For now). I will keep an eye on it & report back if & when it fails.

So, for now I will leave the thread open & wait to see if it is fixed or not.

I have just been over on the Seven forum & "Fault" occurred there but not here?

What's going on with this beast?

Now I can't copy a screen & dump it to paint? I just get the blank sheet of the correct size & a warning: -

"The information on the Clipboard can't be inserted into Paint."

It works again if I reboot.

I think that the best thing that you can do is to try one of the other excellent browsers, Chrome has been suggested by many members. If it does not work, then we know its not IE. If it does work, then we just know that some program that you have on the computer is causing some sort of conflict.

I have been using Chrome & all works as expected on the said websites above. So, as you have said, it must be one of the add-ons for IE.

I will start to disable them & try to find the culprit.

Hi,

Went to Seven & re-enabled the add-ons one nby one & IE "Flickered" & then started to work. Not sure what exactly happened but I suspect it had something to do with the "Let IE decide how pop-ups should open" setting for IE.

Oh well, its working on both sites now, so thats good!
