My flash player has latest version but it's not working correctly. I take survives online and since I updated flash two of my websites won't work correctly.Frst I was told that I had the latest version installed but it didn't work. I know a lot of people had problems with this a month or so ago. I thought I had it fixed because pages requiring flash worked correctly. A suggestion from one of my survey sites said other people got help on this forum and to go to C:\windowssystem32\macromed\flash and run FlashUtil9b.exe. I have no idea what this is or what it does. Please help me, thanks.

I had a horrible time, every time I went to adobe flash player I kept getting a notice that I must go on line to access it. I'm already on line. This error is trying to connect automattically via broadband per port ppoe???? Now I don't get this notice, can't re-creat it. I had to download flash player from IM something and delete all the crap that came with it. Some download sites such as Installsphere and Wise downloads. I didn't solve my problem. Another suggestion?

Tom, I re-downloaded adobe flash player from adobe but it didn't solve my problem. Can you tell me what flashUtil9b.exe is and what it does? I've been told this helped some people with the same problem that I have. Right now I'm using Firefox browser until Microsoft releases a patch for their "problem" I'm very leary downloading a strange executive program until I know what it does. Thanks.

Hi jopeatro,

Do you know what version of Flash you have installed? flashUtil9b.exe appears to be from an outdated version of flash. The file is a helper application for Flash and checks that everything has installed correctly.

Tom
