IE Crashing Immediately Upon Launch

I can't use IE for a single thing, because for some time now it has crashed and given the "Internet Explorer has stopped working" almost immediately after launch.

I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, resetting it back to default settings, clearing the cache, and all the other crap it said to do on the Microsoft website. Nada. Still does it.

Any ideas what the issue may be and how I might attempt to fix it???

Well I use Firefox all the time. As for the system restore point, my computer is set to make those automatically all the time, so I don't think I'd need to make one. As for the antivirus and Malwarebytes, I actually have Malwarebytes already and just ran a scan (even before I saw this post!) and nothing came up at all in the scan.

So most if not all of your stuff that you mentioned is already the case on this computer and that hasn't seemed to change the IE problem at all! lol

As far as I know yes. I can't get the dang thing to stay up long enough to check what version it is before it errors out! lol But yes, it's either 8 or 9.
