Selected all options (except the 32-bit win7 option) but IE9 still doesn't seem to work.

Create a new user account see if it works there.

Hi, it works on a new account. It's a step. I wonder what's happening on my main account.

Its corrupt. See if this fixes it
If this does not fix it. You should use the new account. Put your stuff in the new account if you want.

Ok, I guess now works fine. How do one remove the old profile and related files?

You can remove the account with this procedure
User Account - Delete
