Was checking out pingtest with Chrome and I was getting an average ping rate of 65 ms which isn't ideal. Decided to try it with IE and my ping rate went down to an average of about 15 ms. What does that signify? Additionally, what affects interent speed, ping, etc? Is it only your modem and ISP or do components, software and configuration play a role.
