3.....yes its just for ease , there is no other advantage , in actual fact it is slower (by milliseconds you will never notice ) as the desctop is a shortcut to the actual .exe (launcher)
    Thanks, archie.

Any recommendations on where to go look for those sidebar clocks?
Right click an empty spot on the desktop and click Gadgets to find as many as you need.
    Thanks for the tip, BFK.

I've just started playing with windows sidebar and I was just looking for gadget providers recommended by knowledgable & experienced members like you and archie (ie least buggy, consumes least amount of resources, better design...etc).

Thanks, I'm not a clean desktop freak, I like to customize the look and feel of it.
Anyway, the dock I use is a free dock that is called objectdock,I prefer it more then rocketdock, here's the link to it:Stardock ObjectDock To switch the background simply click on configure dock on your objectdock, then click on the tab "appearance", then go down to "background" and switch it there, the one I got though was a custom background I had to download from wincustomize, here's the link for it: http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.as...13731&libid=29 Just download it, then go to start-computer-local disk (C)-program files (x86)-Stardock-Objectdock-Backgrounds-Then move all the contents you downloaded from wincustomize into that folder, and you should be good, just folow previous instructions before on where to change the background, also yes, you simply click on your programs and drag them to your objetdock, and your good to go. Hope you like it.
