| Vista Ult 64bit Windows 7 64 bit Server 2008 RC2 | Re: Is it possible to bring back deleted folders? Hi Norm, See Recuva and Shadow Explorer here: Free Software List for Vista Recuva will only work if the files are not overwritten and installing the program may do that. Putting the HD into another comp with the software installed is the safest. Shadow Explorer will work if there is a restore point that contains the folder. If neither one of them works, then sending the HD to someone who does this sort of thing may be the only other option. Gary |

If he has the Vista Ultimate, Business, or Enterprise edition, then he might be able to use Previous Versions to restore the photo files. Must be some photos. ![]() Shawn |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Is it possible to bring back deleted folders? I've found that Active File Recovery works really really well. I love this little tool. Active@ File Recovery Software & Web Service. Data Recovery for Windows XP 2003 2000 98 ... There's a suite you can get that also has a partition recovery tool, but so far (and I've only tried to recover files off of 5 or 6 drives, successfully) I've only needed the file recovery tool. As long as the files haven't been overwritten, and there aren't any problems with the disk physically, this bad boy will find them and recover them. It has earned me many smooches on the cheek... of course accompanied by the requisite, "omg! i luv u!!! ur the best may i have your children!!!". |
