Hi, I thought I would pop over here from the Win 7 forum. Makes a nice change. I have used Vista ultimate since it was released until recently, and now only use Win 7. :)

you do know W7 is only supposed to be a beta and not used as a main operating system, the beta keys will be invalid on W7 RTM. So start saving now if you want to continue using it.

Each to their own, I run it as my main o/s and make sure that I do back ups, in any case as soon as it is available to us, I will get myself 'some'.

Even the Win7 Beta is so stable, many are using it as the main OS. As am I now, the differences are IMO worth it, and with the RC expected in about a month, it will be even more stable. Besides, if you have install disks for both, who cares if you use it as your main OS. There's always the option to reinstall either at any time. But, if you didn't have a way to reinstall Vista then it could be bad for you I guess if you ever wanted it back.

Sometimes playing it safe is boring.

don't get me wrong guys, im just expressing my opinion that windows 7 is still in testing stage, its not even designed for mainstream use yet, I have no oppositions to using it as a main OS, I too have the install ISO and my vista DVD but i have it installed in tri boot with vista and XP. i need all 3 OS'es incase anybody has got a problem on all 3. :)

Win 7 is a beta yes, but as far as I can tell, it is stable.
I still use Vista as my main OS, but use Seven as well. I plan to get Seven Ultimate when it comes out, but for now will stick to both.
