Re: Digital SLR Camera

I love my D200 but I secretly covet the D700 for its high ISO uber supremacy. My photos mostly suck though. I feel like it's taken me years just to get to grips with the basics of photography, and I'm well aware that none of my work has that flair which seems so natural and spontaneous for some photographers.

Re: Digital SLR Camera

I personally concider myself a 'hobby' photographer, And have therefor opted not to go for a digital SLR or anything too fancy.

My choice of cam went out to a very nice point-and-shoot solution in the
Fujifilm Finepix F100fd

Arguably one of the best point-n-shoot cams when it was released =)

I currently have no photos on my pc that ive taken on the cam (cuz my HD died recently and took all of my photos with it ) but I can guarantee that for the average photographer that wants good quality photos but not carry around a luggish EXPENSIVE camera it is a very good choice =D

i dont think its as bad as you think H2SO4,the most important thing for us in order to enjoy this type of hobby is the passion...you may not be able to capture pro-like shots instanly..but as the mighty saying goes "practice makes perfect."
Remember to always be ready as you can when you have an opportunity to take those shots that truly convey your feelings..take tons of them! Have fun!

i definitely agree with you on this Ayporos, most point-and-shoot cameras on the market now are very competent when it comes to specs compare to the pro-cams less the bulk and bucks..most pros do use a point -and -shoot as their back-up.
But of course, people wouldn't spent hundreds or even thousands to upgrade to a dslr for nothing. Point -and-shoot has their limitations and thats why other hobbyist opted to upgrade,to expand their horizons. Anyways,as long as your point-and-shoot cam meet your demand,ENJOY!!!

Re: Digital SLR Camera

Aye you are definatelly right Angelo621.

The only real 'issue' I have with the PnS fuji I have is that it doesn't allow me to manually focus and set exposure time.. but apparently the newer fuji PnS's do have this option so atleast they've learned.

Granted the lens/barrel/sensor aren't of as high quality as professional SLR's I've personally found that images taken with this camera are of quite good quality and concidering it is a 12mp camera you can always post process your photos into a smaller resolution with a better 'overall' quality image seeing as 12mp photos serve no real purpose anyway, unless ofc. you plan on printing poster-sized photos.
