A short XP cd key question

Will a corporate 32bit XP pro key work with XP 64bit?

I wish to dual boot my custom PC. I have an old ligit key for XP pro 32 a friend gave me years ago which has worked on any PC I have installed it on. I have a trial cd of XP pro 64bit which I received from MS 3 years ago. That key is long expired. The current OS on my custom is x64 and has 8 gb of ram so a 32 bit would be a waste of ram.

I don't think it will work.:(
Because with vista if you own ultimate and enter the same key for premium, it wont work.
Usually you can swap the disk with microsoft to get a 64bit with legit key.:D

I'm just saying that from past experiences with vista.

I'm not sure. Certainly, with Vista, the same key can be used to activate either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the same edition (but not at the same time). I would say that the same might be true of XP, although that might not be the case. You can try it to find out, although there is no guarantee. The sticking point may well bethat the key you're thinking of using is a corporate one.
