Update or not to update mobile phone firmware?

Today i bought Sony Ericsson c905 the one with 8.1 megapixel camera.
In the box is an Updater Setup CD.
So the question is...
Update or not to updade mobile phone firmware?
And why?
Is there any risk?

There is no risk, and updating the firmware usually fixes many problems or adds new features.

Re: Update or not to update mobile phone firmware?

I updated my nokia n73 for the first time and was faster better,i updated the second time with the newer firmware and is damaged.
I updated my nokia n79 with the first updated firmware and is faster, better.
So...Sometimes is good to update sometimes not.
I thing before update mobile firmware is a good idea to search google and read users reviews and opinions for every firmware update, then decide what to do.

same, lol, im 14 so i want everything at the moment, ipod touch, lg cookie, that kinda stuff, i desperately need to upgrade the cooling in my case as the computer shut itself down and wouldnt boot for about half an hour. whilst i am here i want to ask what my vid card temp should be, it is a nvidia geforce 8400, CPUID says that it is 62 - 65 degrees c, is that right?

Download GPUz, it will give you your GPU temps. CPUz measures your CPU temps.
At 62 C to 65 C, does'nt seem too high.

My CPU hits 60 on a daily (average use) basis. My GPU has hit 90 while playing Assassin's Creed on high.

I don't know why yours is shutting down. Look up the max temps for your CPU and GPU, then check to see what they are hitting. If they hit over that, then you need better cooling. If they are not, then in BIOS you can change the max temps before auto-shutdown.
