Re: what is your fav band / artist

Whew. I haven't heard anyone mention Ry Cooder in a long while. Haven't heard any of his music in a long while either. Leo Kotke is good to. Good acoustic guitarist, although I do tend to fall asleep when I listen.

I get about 30 cd music channels as part of my satellite teevee package. There is a channel for each decade starting in the 1940s and going up through the 1990s. So I can lsiten to 'Bugle Boy of Compnay B' all the way up to Smash Mouth singing in 'Walking on the Sun'. Martha Quinn and some of the other early VJs of early MTV hang out there. She has a radio show, and trivia questions. Mark Goodman is on there as well. XM radio.

For New Age music, I listen to Hearts of Space and Echos on Public Radio in the US. My satellite tv also plays a 24x7 New Age channel. I find I need something to relax by. And the quiet music of New Age does it for me.
