Our Dell (Intel pentium 4, 80GB ,with 3/4 capacity still available, using Windows XP), has suddenly refused to 'Restore down' windows with large numbers of photo folders. It has no problem with Documents or Outlook etc.,but won't work on the Pictures folder or Picasa. I can't organise the photo folders or transfer numbers of photos without this vital tool. What's gone wrong?

Sorry to ask about Windows XP (we have both XP and Vista computers)- thought I'd seen helpful advice previously on this site. In answer to question, 'Restore down' means making window on screen smaller, adjustable in size and moveable.

When you press the restore down tab, is there any movement at all ?, I'm sure you have tried to move the page by dragging it, when your mouse cursor goes to the edge of the page is there an edge or does the cursor just stay the same ?,

I had just discovered the remedy myself when your helpful hints came through.I saw the slight movement and found the edge could be dragged. Still don't know why it behaves this way, but then, as you've guessed, I'm a bit of a novice....Thanks anyway for your encouraging reply.
