| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Why No More CRT Monitors? since when can't you adjust the dimensions of an lcd monitor? i can adjust width and height but not in unison, thats why auto adjust was invented lol, if the screen is slightly out of phase or half the picture is off the screen, press the auto adjust and it automatically picks up where the actual edges of the screen are and puts it back into its rightful place, heres a screenie to show that you can adjust the height and width |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Why No More CRT Monitors? @ mpcr well, can you take scans of them and let me see them? I'm not going to buy them, just curious as to how they look... @ Tstright, not really, I just have better experiences with my crt monitor. For instance, I can never make a 4:3 lcd monitor, widescreen via horizontal and vertical length. I can never adjust the screen on the one I have which is what made me thing lcd's have fixed screen ratios as opposed to tube monitors (which are scanline-free unlike non-hd, tube tvs). @ above I'm talking about compressing the entire screen vert and hori, I can't do this on my lcd monitor but I guess some lcd monitors can do it. Never saw so for myself though. Also auto-adjust will compress and/or stretch the screen so the edge of the picture will reach the edge of the screen, as you say, but sometimes I may not want that. Also lcd's are freaking expensive...at least the good ones, not a typical dell 4:3 one, which is the one i have. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 & Windows 7 Pro x64 | Re: Why No More CRT Monitors? Even if I never really used a CRT screen, I do find the image better on them while playing games. I had a friend that actually kept his CRT screen to play games with a computer with much higher specs than mine. |
