He got tested in his guest book by a friend of mine on another forum, and he completely failed, but we do now know that it is not a spoof, just complete, pure, and unmitigated incompetence!

Is this guy for real??

A common hack is to go into the control panel on a computer running windows and change the right button on the mouse to function as the left button and vice versa. So that the button are switched which causes confusion for the user (confusion that can be used in social engineering hacks to steal personal passwords for example). To protect yourself from this it is a good idea to never leave your mouse at the computer you have been using. I have made a special cargo-case for my mouse, so that I can now fit it in my belt (I have it on my left side at all times and my Ericsson cell phone on the right). A good mouse policy is security 101.

We did wonder that. So, a friend of mine went and asked for "help" on some fake problems. He came back to us and gave us some advice, and although very dodgy, it was just about in the right place. However, he did not notice that the virus we had "downloaded", and the anti-virus programs we used did not, and have never, existed.

So, I don't know. He is obviously around somewhere, but whether he has the qualifications he says he does... the scary thing is that he might.
