Well, where do I start, iPads aren't a replacement for your laptop, they're designed to be an easier way to surf the net and for lightweight entertainment, you can stream movies from your pc at home on it, you can VPN to your home pc and control it using any VNC server, everything is transferred to it through iTunes just like the iPod touch and iPhone, it's got a life-size keyboard on it, I'm using it right now to type this reply, you don't need to sync to outlook as all messages are pushed from the server to your iPad, I use imap emails and I have full control of my emails including deletion from the server and so forth, it's of course a brilliant photo frame and viewer, organiser, gps system (3G if on the move), it can be used as a presentation device, a word processor and a speadsheet compiler, an ebook reader, a contacts organiser, a canvas for artists, it's got a full version of iTunes as an iPod music player, a Skype phone, must I go on?

The cons: it doesn't support flash, that's it!

To answer your question, wifi is good, I'm sat in my room about 10meters away from the router through 2 walls and i've still got full signal, it only has upto 64GB available, which I have the 16GB version(wifi only) as i've jail broken my iPhone to use it as a wifi hotspot so I got Internet on the move, battery life is phenomenal, I easily get 8hours of active use before it hits 20% "low battery" warning, and even then there is another 2 hours of battery life left, it's got Bluetooth built in but only connects to other iPads and iPhones to play Bluetooth enabled games, it can view geotagged photos and displays a map with the places you took the photos, it plays high definition video, even though it's resolution is 1024x768, last of all, it's incredibly smooth at everything it's does, it's like handling silk on a daily basis.
