    Today [2]

    Note   Note
    Continued from - Today

Well, here it is 2:34AM my time and I'm just waking up for the day. I went to bed at 7PM planning to get up at 11PM - work here for 3-4 hrs and then go back to bed until 7-8AM (but it didn't turn out that way). I have GOT to change my medication or get back on some type of reasonable schedule.

Congrats MWRed on post 500 - that's a good milestore - 1/3 of the way to your Gold Badge!

I hope to catch up on some threads I've been procrastinating on and of course get in some new ones (but consering the time, I don't suppose I'll see very many of those for quite a few hours yet - unless there are some that have been skipped in any of the forums).

BTW, no snow, no threats of snow, and nothing predicted as far out as they tend to predict - which is all just fine with me.

And how the heck do you repair an ADSL line? I mean, I suppose there are tools and connectors to splice sections together - but while I can do so for ethernet lines (I have all the tools, connectors and lines for both regular and fire-resistant, even I don't have the equipment for an ADSL line. Wouldn't something like that be covered under the contract (and if not for free, at least covered under insurance)? And there, BTW, is yet another reason I hate snow (though all the lines here are underground).

You must be joking. Keep the one you have - it's much better. Or if you must change, find something else.

Anyway, that's what I thought when I first saw it. I suppose if you intend to keep it, I'll eventually get used to it. It is, after all, how you want to be recognized so it's not a decision for anyone else to make.

    ^ Aww, cute lol.
Today I plan to fix that noisy fan in my case. Kinda wish I didn't do the cable management like I did as this means I have to take the whole computer apart to unplug one cable

I've also been thinking of building a file server using them SAS drives I've got laying around *In my System Specs* after I found that I can't use them because the RAID card uses the same slot as my video card. I've got enough parts to do it aswell, just need a case. I've also got a copy of Server 2003. I'll see what happens, I mean, it's worth trying to use them, it's better that them just lying around collecting dust; 3 of the 4 SAS drives were brand new

This is going to be harder than you imagine. Noisy fans are typically caused by being out of balance (or something INSIDE like a very slightly bent shaft that is almost impossible to fix) and adjusting that balance without messing it up even worse is quite a chore (unless the cause is dust or something stuck to a blade or the shaft or something easy like that).

But good luck anyway. I don't know that I'd try it except for the dust part. Make sure you know how to quickly get a replacment (just in case).

lol. I certainly will never change my one here, but I was kind of fiddling with my SF and EF one. I found some good animated ones, but they were too large (file size) I shall look for a new one, and upload it when I find it!

I believe Dolly is once again available. LMAO!!

I like the one you have - it's you. Sounds to me like you're having a "Smurfyy attack" with avatars.

There's almost no chance I will change mine.

I think it's dusty, and it's not a major fan, just a "System Blower" I bought a while ago when I had a smaller case. I have no need for them now as I have a bigger case .

    EDIT:
Lmao, "Smurfyy Attack" I like it!

    I agree with Lorien, Richard.
The new one's not the greatest avatar. (Sorry) Glad you're still looking. There's so many interesting images you can use --- enjoy the search!
