    Re: The hobby Thread

My hobbies are mostly computer based. Playing Everquest casually, working on my 16 web sites.

I also like to read. I have 3 ereaders and around 1 thousand paperback and hard cover books on numerous subjects. Aboput 700 or so ebooks, most free from Project Gutenburg. The rest are books I paid for and downloaded.

Most of my hobbies are computer based as well, but I also like to rock climb (both indoors and outdoors) and hike (I have a tick sheet, and I tick off the peaks as I climb them)

Hmm, rock climbing and hiking would be nice - if only I were 40 years younger.

Those pictures are cool! I wish had the talent to take pictures like that. And a decent camera would probably help too haha. I stick to computers as well. Photoshopping things is fun, I enjoy helping people fix computers, and currently I'm trying to learn web design from the ground up via some great free online tutorial sites. Although I'm trying to find a job at a computer store of some sort, (anyone wanna hook me up??? haha) part time after school, so I'm really too busy to do much about it currently. I also enjoy the occasional outdoor activity. And I've always wanted to go skydiving!

I used to read a lot, but since getting a laptop that activity has steeply declined. Partly because I spend less time searching for new books to enjoy, and partly because I feel like I could better spend my time learning more about computers when I'm reading, and that's distracting

I have been making a vague attempt at learning Bryce, Blender, and DAZ Studio.

But for some reason the tutorials seem too 'scattered' in their presentation for me.

These all remind me of when I used to live in Washington state. Very very green and wet. I still miss it a lot, living here in the desert. In fact, I think I used to have a big tree/bush things with flowers like that. Very impressive.
