Solved Really Strange AdwCleaner Experience

I was advised to use AdwCleaner several weeks back when trying to check my system and it did find some harmless remnants. Just now I tried to open it and I was told to download the latest version. First, Chrome blocked it, but what's so strange is that my AdwCleaner disappeared from my desktop. I do have an AdwCleaner folder in my Program 86 folder but it just holds the logs. Is it possible that when I chose to update the program deleted itself? Never seen anything like this.

Thanks.

BTW, I don't really care about the program itself because I don't use it. (I saw it on my desktop so just clicked it out of boredom really.)

Wanted to add, if you guys didn't know, that the program doesn't install, you just download and use it from the desktop.

Thanks.

It is not uncommon that programs uninstall earlier releases when you install a later release. And I remember Adwcleaner doing that even before you downloaded the new version. The new Adwcleaner you downloaded is apparently a portable version. That's just as good. I am running the same version.
