    BSOD with vista 64 SP1

    This is my spec :

    Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H (780G) HD3200

    Phenom 8450
    Kingston DDR 800 2gb x 1
    Seagate 320 gb sata2
    vista ultimate 64 SP1
F5 bios , 7.45 catalyst from gigabyte website. R198 realtek HD driver

At 1st i thought it's the graphic driver issue so i revert back the 8.6 catalyst from amd/ati web to the driver provided by Gigabyte but third and fourth BSOD occur after that. Experiencing crappy sound in warcraft 3 no matter by using the sound driver from the supplied disc and now the latest driver from realtek web.

No overclock and no overheat issue found.

Currently experiencing 4 times BSOD. 3 times when in middle of DOTA , windows media player is running at the same time (warcraft 3 is the only game i have on this system yet.) Another one happen when i was playing real video format.

And another issue is i hear crappy sound from warcraft 3 (in the menu and the map).

Found these error log on the event viewer after bsod and restart but still has no clue of what cause the BSOD. Help is greatly appreciated.

Your creative sound blaster drivers are garbage.

I trashed my Audigy2 cards when Vista was realeased in Novermer 2006.

Creative has the worst support on the planet and the dumbest marketing strategy bar none.

There are zero plans to update the Vista drivers any further for any of the exsisting cards except for the new XFI 2 cards. Your onboard sound will sound better then creative can do on its best day.

I suggest you either sell your card to someone whos still useing XP or Linux and move to your onboard sound solution.

ANd in the future do what the rest of the discusted creative customers are doing.

Never ever buying another creative product ever.
