I have a Dell XPS M1710 that i got sept 07. it has worked fine up untill december just gone when my laptop Screen Died .... (DELL REplaced it)
Then last week me Graphics card died...

When my screen first died ... Vista recovered itself saying the graphics drivers had failed.

Then when the Graphics card failed i got Blue Screens (Graphics card has been Replaced by DELL)

Everytime i do almost anything:- Browse too much of my hard drive, Browse too much of the internet, Watch a film or play a game my Computer Blue Screens...

I'm planning to re install vista and hope that that will help ... but every time i try to backup my data vista blue screens!

Any Suggestions??????

PLEASE!!!!:huh::huh:

Hmm...maybe its not the video card. Maybe its something that is connected to the video card. Is the video card slot damaged?

When Dell came and replaced the graphics card i was able to see the insides of my laptop and am quite sure the connections are not damaged.

Cheers for your reply.

Well its highly unlikely that your replacement video card has the same fault as your faulty one :huh:

Maybe its another piece of hardware. If its shared memory maybe the RAM needs replacing?

I honestly have no idea what the problem is.
Sorry :(
