    Blue Screen of Death 0x0000007E

    Hey guys,

I am having quite the tough time with my PC right now and was hoping someone here could help me out.

I have been receiving the blue screen of death repeatedly on my PC over the last couple of days. I haven't downloaded anything new I don't believe.

I am receiving this information on the blue screen of death.

    Stop: 0x0000007e ( 0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFffff800022903B1, 0xFFFFFA60017FC708, 0xFFFFFA60017FC1B0 )

Does anyone know how I could remedy this?

I really do not know THAT much about computers, just the basic stuff.

Thanks to anyone who offers help!

I had the same problem as well~ Try

    To go to Safe Mode
    Go to Control panel
    The programs selection.
    Uninstall programs.
Task list (On the left hand side)
    View installed updates
then on the top there should be a search bar
    serach for
    kb973879
    And uninstall it.

:] And tell me how it goes.

    Hey thanks a lot mellzy!

What I ended up doing was restoring my computer back to an earlier date. No more BSOD.

I checked to see if the kb973879 update was there and it wasn't, maybe microsoft pulled the update or something.

Anyhow thanks a lot for your help with this.

Microsoft did pull the update - it was messing with a lot of systems!
Thanks for letting us know what you did to fix it!
